Victoria Roberts Art Assemblage

Assemblage constructions using vintage and antique parts. Victoria Roberts has spent as many years in the antique trade as she has in the arts in one form or another. Now, the melding of those two strong forces in her life has lead her to create stories and sculptural forms, redirecting the meaning of found old objects to create a new found perspective. Old treasures that would otherwise be lost in drawers or trash bins, are now joined together as the vehicle for a new communication.

About Me

My photo
Victoria Roberts Art Assemblage
Victoria Roberts is an LA native and has worked professionally in a variety of arts. Cutting her teeth at her father's animation studio, inking & painting cels for TV and film such as The Sonny and Cher Show, The Carol Burnett Show, and Grease in 70's, then working as a graphic artist in a small design studio in Pasadena. Leaving LA to work as a partner with her then husband, David Zweifel, they created ceramic and wood sculpture exhibiting in galleries nation-wide from the late 80's through the 90's. It was during this time that Victoria began working in Assemblage. After years of working in the antique and art business and finding herself back in the Los Angeles area in 1998 her focus eventually turned back to Assemblage sculpture where she now infuses her antique and art experiences into her current work. ---Sir John Cass College of Art, London 1972--- Pasadena City College, Studies in Art & Music, 1973-74--- Santa Barbara City College, Studies in Art Assemblage under Ron Robertson 1989
